COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Joni Taylor left the United States for the Olympics at the end of July and returned as a gold medal-winning coach. Taylor served as an assistant coach for the Team USA women’s basketball team under Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve. Part of Taylor’s responsibilities was scouting the opponents that the team would face during their time in France. She also got to work with WNBA players like Breanna Stewart, Kelsey Plum, A’ja Wilson, and more.
