Andre Onana’s worst nightmares came true with a horror display against a Lyon side who had it in for him. The Manchester United goalkeeper made two very avoidable errors in the 2-2 Europa League quarter-final draw. His second, in the final seconds of the game, cost United the lead heading back to Old Trafford for the second leg next Thursday. Onana spilt a shot in the fifth and final minute of stoppage time which Rayan Cherki pounced on and dinked in to equalise.

Always on top at Manchester United when it comes to production, Bruno Fernandes has now grabbed an impressive European record. With an assist in a 2-2 against Lyon in the Europa League, Fernandes now has more in the competition’s knockout rounds than any other player in history. My first F1 race in 2022 at Silverstone I was wandering the paddock when Zhou crashed and didn't know what happened. Spotted Eddie Jordan and asked the most inane question. Anyone else would've (rightly) told me to F-off but he was, as always, pure class. A great man gone.
