Steven Bisig-Imagn Images Let’s hope that day off helped. The A’s are back at it today as they travel to Chicago to take on the White Sox on Jackie Robinson Day in the Windy City. It’ll be the first of three in Chicago before continuing the road trip this weekend, but first things first. Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images The A’s dropped the final game of their series against the Mets, getting shut out by New York and wrapping up the home stand on a losing note by losing 8-0 and finishing the home stand with a 2-4 record. We had ourselves an old-fashioned pitching duel today between A’s right-hander Luis Severino going up against Mets righty Kodai Senga. The Athletics got a few baserunners here and there but multiple double plays killed any rally dead in its tracks.
