You can’t take much of anything off rookie minicamp. It’s fun to watch because it’s the first football-like thing since the season ended, but knee-jerk reactions are a bit silly. These are players who are running an offense they began learning a week or two ago. It’s the first football practice they’ve taken part in since college. Rarely have any of them played together before. The vast majority of guys on the field are tryout players.

This was as quiet an offseason as the Jets have had in recent memory. That’s exactly the way they wanted it. The moment they showed Aaron Rodgers the door it became clear they wanted to build a team known for what they do, not say. Splash signings? Nope. Back page-stealing trades? Nope. Playmakers in the draft? Nope. AdvertisementThe Jets were … boring. And that might be exactly what this team needs. Their hope: Culture trumps talent and names.

It’s impossible to judge a draft at its conclusion. Far more players will bust than succeed. It often takes two or three years before you even see the latter transpire. But where’s the fun in that? Luther Burden or Jayden Higgins would have been nice picks for the Jets. Either could have taken attention away from Garrett Wilson. This team is still in dire need of a legitimate No. 2 receiver. With both off the board, though, the Jets got the next best thing in Mason Taylor. AdvertisementTaylor is long and athletic.

The Giants made one pick on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft after trading back into the first round on Thursday. They spent their lone third-round pick on DT Darius Alexander from Toledo. Let's break down how Big Blue did on Day 2... Interior defensive line was a major need for the Giants. They addressed it with Alexander. Two different defensive coaches used one word to describe him to SNY: "Love." He's a three-down player who can be equally dominant against the run and the pass.

This is upsetting.

The guy can’t even back down Jrue

Is there any 7-0 person on earth who gets blocked at the rim more than KAT? He is so frustrating to watch.
