Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk are in talks to fight at Wembley Stadium on 12 July. The rival heavyweight champions hold all four major world titles between them, with Dubois the IBF champion and Usyk the WBA (Super), WBO and WBC belt holder. Usyk, 38, is undefeated in 23 fights and has a win over Dubois, stopping him in August 2023. Their rematch would be for the undisputed heavyweight title as well as offer 27-year-old Dubois the chance of revenge.

Aged 29, undefeated in the UFC and training with two of the best heavyweights in the UK, Mick Parkin can't believe he is getting paid to fight. "Something I was doing for free for years, and then you get paid? It's amazing," he says. It even makes the three-hour commute he makes some days to train with the likes of UFC interim champion Tom Aspinall and KSW heavyweight champion Phil De Fries worth it.

Dubois' most recent defeat was to Usyk in 2023, when he was stopped by the Ukrainian in Poland. Most of the biggest heavyweight encounters in recent years have taken place in Saudi Arabia, including Usyk's two fights with Tyson Fury. Dubois' most recent outing was against Anthony Joshua, with the domestic rivals headlining at Wembley six months ago. Dubois has won his past three fights by stoppage, beating Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic before winning his maiden world title against Joshua.

Islam Makhachev submitted Renato Moicano in one round to successfully retain his lightweight title at UFC 311 and set a new record. The Russian has now defended his belt four times in a row, a first in the UFC. The record was previously jointly held by legends Khabib Nurmagomedov, Benson Henderson and BJ Penn, who all managed three defences. Makhachev, 33, staked his claim as the UFC's pound-for-pound best with an unstoppable performance on Saturday night in Inglewood, California.
