Introduction The Linker of Nucleoskeleton and Cytoskeleton (LINC) complex traverses both inner and outer nuclear membranes to provide physical connections between the cytoskeleton and nuclear contents (Starr and Fridolfsson, 2010) (Figure 1A). The central role of the LINC complex in force transduction is exemplified by its essential function in meiosis.
