The pavement, laid down in the 1980s, is gone, replaced by a fresh coat of asphalt, presenting a new set of challenges to drivers, some that have the advantage of track time in a Goodyear Racing tire test.

2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski has acknowledged NASCAR Truck Series driver Corey Heim as one of the up-and-coming superstars of NASCAR. The Toyota prodigy is currently racing in the sport’s third tier, driving the No:11 Tundra of Tricon Garage after joining the team from Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2023. Keselowski made the point in a video that was shared on X (previously Twitter) by RFK Racing, the team he co-owns.

Saturday’s race was delayed about an hour due to heavy rain and lightning. Once it began, Heim managed to hang on to the lead for four laps until turning it over to Ty Majeski.

Hocevar powered past then-leader Corey Heim on a restart with 40 of 150 laps remaining to take the lead for the first time in the race. Hocevar got a good jump on the restart and held off reigning series champion Zane Smith by 0.271 seconds to earn his second career win, with both coming this season. Hocevar’s two victories put him in good position with just three races remaining before the start of the series playoffs.

From there, the race – who had been plagued by several wrecks early – remained green and Enfinger took the checkered flag 4.358 seconds ahead of Heim to earn the win. The victory is Enfinger’s first of the 2023 season and eighth of his career. All eight of his wins have come at different tracks. “Kansas has been a good track for us but we haven’t had a dominant truck like this in a long time,” said Enfinger, who claimed a playoff berth with his win. “It’s been a difficult year-and-a-half.
