In the first inning Tuesday, Soto came up with one out and Nimmo on first and hit a liner to right-center that White Sox center fielder Michael A. Taylor made a diving attempt to catch.

The Knicks pulled off another dramatic comeback in Game 2 with a 91-90 win over the Celtics on Wednesday night that saw New York rally from being down 20 points during the third quarter and take their first lead of the night with just less than two minutes left in the game. Forward Betnijah Laney-Hamilton underwent surgery on her left knee to repair an acute meniscus tear earlier this month, the Liberty announced Monday. She has started the rehabilitation process, but isn’t expected to return to basketball activities for approximately five to six months, meaning she will miss most — if not all — of the WNBA season.
