The Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center was temporarily evacuated this morning. According to a notification from the Platteville School District, there was an unidentifiable odor detected in the buildingaround 8:00 a.m. and the school was vacated to ensure staff and student safety. After an investigation by the Platteville Fire Department, it was determined safe to reoccupy the Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center building. The odor has dissipated the building and the odor is no longer present.

Dubuque Police said one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Dubuque. 56-yerar-old Rosemere Mellenberger of Benton was transported by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A Dubuque Police Department crash report states that on Saturday at 1:20 PM 48-year-old Erin E. Rigby of Dubuque was driving west on Carter Road when she failed to yield at a stop sign while attempting to turn onto John F. Kennedy Road.

Iowa DOT Bridge Washing Causes Detour for Eastbound Traffic on Julien Dubuque Bridge. Due to bridge washing being performed by the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), the eastbound lanes of the Julien Dubuque Bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday through Friday. The westbound lanes of the bridge will remain open. Eastbound traffic will be detoured using U.S. Highways 61/151 to the Iowa-Wisconsin Bridge.

Police said an intoxicated driver struck and injured a skateboarder in Dubuque. 22-year-old Alex A. Mayne of Dubuque, was transported by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to a Dubuque Police Department crash report, Mayne was traveling on his skateboard west on Fifth Street in the middle of the street at 10:10 p.m. Friday, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Kristi M.
