Two defendants accused of bribing former Sen. Bob Menendez with cash and gold bars have reported to federal prison. Businessman Wael Hana and developer Fred Daibes surrendered to FCI Fairton in south New Jersey Monday morning. Daibes and Hana were convicted along with Menendez in July on 16 counts. A third businessman, Jose Uribe, pleaded guilty and testified against his co-conspirators in the wide-ranging bribe scheme.

Fred Daibes, the man convicted of bribing Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) with gold bars and cash, surrendered to the authorities Monday to begin his eight-year prison sentence. He'll be housed at FCI Fairton, the same New Jersey prison as another Menendez co-defendant, Wael Hana. Menendez is expected to surrender to FCI Schuylkill in Minersville, Pennsylvania, in mid-June to begin serving his 11-year sentence. He resigned from the Senate last August following his conviction.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) raided what they said was an illegal "marijuana farm" in upstate New York that was allegedly supplying the drug to illegal smoke shops across New York City. Nearly 30,000 marijuana plants were discovered on the property in Walworth, near Rochester, which included greenhouses for the alleged cultivation operation, officials said.
