By remaining active in the classroom, we ensure that we do not lose sight of the challenges and rewards that come with teaching. When people hear the term “culture,” it is often associated solely with ethnic culture. However, ethnic culture goes beyond identity and significantly shapes the learning process. The ACCCE model is a framework for applying culturally responsive teaching practices for meaningful learning outcomes (Plotts, 2022).
