A supercharged, springtime pattern in the central and eastern United States will continue to bring daily risks of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. A potent storm is forecast to move out of the Rockies through Monday night, traveling eastward across the country throughout the week. On the northern side of the storm, cold air in the northern Plains will allow for a strip of snow from Colorado to the Great Lakes.

Rising temperatures during the first half of the week will make it feel like the East is finally climbing out of the depths of winter. However, a little cold is still on the way this week, AccuWeather meteorologists say. Springlike warmth has already filtered into the eastern half of the country, bringing an end to the frigid conditions. Dry weather will accompany most of the warmth Monday before wet weather pops up around the Ohio Valley and Northeast Tuesday.
