MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) - A woman and an infant in a stroller were hit by a vehicle Tuesday night while using a marked crosswalk on Providence Parkway in Mt. Juliet, and the driver was arrested after fleeing the scene. The Mt. Juliet Police Department says the incident was reported at 8:46 p.m. and happened near the Deerfield Apartments at the intersection of Providence Parkway and Buckhead Trail.

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) - Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating a situation in Wilson County that resulted in the death of a man who barricaded himself in his home Tuesday afternoon before reportedly firing a gun at deputies. TBI says the incident happened around 5:15 p.m. at a home in the 5100 block of Benders Ferry Road, where deputies with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance call "several hours earlier" in the day.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) - Two people were injured after a shooting at an apartment complex in the 600 block of S 5th Street Thursday night. Metro police officers were called to the apartments for a shooting around 8:10 p.m. and found a juvenile male and an adult female with gunshot wounds when they arrived. Multiple shots were fired outside the complex by unknown suspects, striking the two innocent bystanders who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) - Metro police said they arrested a man suspected of fatally stabbing his estranged wife Monday morning outside an elementary school where she worked. Candido Rubio Perez, 54, was arrested Thursday evening at an apartment high-rise in Madison on a criminal homicide charge, according to Metro police.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) - A Franklin woman was arrested Friday in an alleged murder-for-hire plot against her ex-husband. Angelia Solomon, 55, is charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder, according to the Franklin Police Department. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation and arrest, says Franklin police. Solomon is being held at the Williamson County jail on a $500,000 bond.
