By Craig Hoffman via Sheboygan Sun, Destiny Duesterbeck made her second state appearance for this school year and this time she comes home with some bling. The junior from Sheboygan North stood proudly on the awards podium at Roger Harring Stadium of UW-La Crosse with a silver medal around her neck. Duesterbeck placed second in the shot put Friday at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships.

Due to the great demand for tickets, Saturday's WIAA Division 3 Boys Basketball Sectional Championship Game between two top seeded teams Kiel and Freedom has been moved from Chilton High School to the JFK Fieldhouse at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Game time remains at 1 pm. Both schools were allotted 900 tickets for when the game was at Chilton. Kiel sold all 900 in a matter of four hours Thursday.

Halftime couldn't come soon enough for the Kiel Raider boys basketball team as their undefeated record was in jeopardy against Appleton Xavier. But a resilient Raider squad found the offense it needed and turned up the heat defensively in the second half as a 23-17 halftime deficit turned into an unexpected lopsided victory over Xavier, ranked fourth in the state, in a WIAA Division 3 Sectional Semifinal before a standing room-only crowd Wednesday night at Brillion.
