Rystad Energy vice president CCUS and hydrogen supply chain, Lein Mann Bergsmark, opened the CO2 Shipping & Terminals Conference held on 17 June 2025 at the Hilton Waldorf Hotel in London. Ms Bergsmark gave a macro view of the CO2 capture and storage projects being developed globally, and their associated shipping requirements. She noted the lead project, Northern Lights in Norway, could soon see competition developing from the UK, and further down the line, from the Netherlands.
