    Watch Today’s SurfingEast Beach, Port Alfred – It was exciting surfing on day two of The Rip Curl GromSearch presented by Royal St Andrews Hotel and supported by Sea Harvest at East Beach, Port Alfred. Watch the day’s surfing here – Morning and Afternoon. The morning session was joined by the Kowie Granny Grommets, who came down for their bodyboarding session at East Beach. Furthermore, they were joined by Jack Parow, who had performed the previous night at Bands Innie Bush.

    East Beach, Port Alfred – Big, feathering peaks could be seen in the darkness. Competitors started arriving for day two of the Royal St Andrews Hotel SA Open Champs presented by Rip Curl. Some surfers quickly got out there. Others slowly got their boards ready, waiting for the sun to rise to see just how big the sets were. In the free surf, top East London surfer David Emslie injured his foot. He had to enjoy an early morning ambulance ride to the nearest hospital for a check-up.

    Port Alfred—Entries for the Rip Curl GromSearch and the Rip Curl Cup, presented by the Royal St Andrews Hotel and supported by Sea Harvest, will close on Monday, April 14th. The Rip Curl Cup is an anchor event for the Port Alfred Easter Festival, the multi-sports, cultural and music festival that takes place annually over the Easter Weekend in Port Alfred. It is a speciality surfing event that will commence as soon as the Rip Curl GromSearch concludes. It is an open event, with limited entries.
