It was a wild time. I was a senior editor at The Huffington Post, and loved it there, to be clear. We were near the top of the digital news mountain. I joined in 2009. In 2011, we were acquired by AOL. Later that year, we passed The New York Times in traffic. In 2012, we became the first online-only news organization to win a Pulitzer Prize. As Traffic & Trends Editor at the start, and later senior editor, my job was to help us grow our traffic. It was a mix of writing, editing, and social media.
