The U.S. Postal Service is announcing their plan to move all but local mail from the Milan facility to Des Moines is on hold again until at least the end of this year. (Bettendorf, IA) -- The first of three Columbian nationals police say are in in the country illegally have been sentenced in connection with two Quad Cities burglaries. The three were arrested in Altoona, after police say they were identified on surveillance video breaking into two Bettendorf homes. They're accused of stealing jewelry, gold, cash, ID, and a pistol.

Marion collects a 7% room tax on all overnight hotel and motel stays and redistributed those monies to non-profit organizations. Nearly 50-thousand dollars is up for grabs this year.
