    Father’s Day may be a few months away, but Eric Clapton’s longtime bassist, Nathan East, celebrated early on Friday, April 18 with the release of Father Son, a collaborative album with his 24-year-old son, Noah, who plays piano and organ. The elder East, who also spent time in Phil Collins’ band, was a member of platinum-selling smooth jazz group Fourplay, and co-writer of the 1985 Philip Bailey-Phil Collins hit “Easy Lover,” has also been performing in a jazz duo with his son.

    Elton John and Brandi Carlile’s recently released collaborative album, Who Believes in Angels? has topped the UK Official Albums Chart, giving John his 10th No. 1 there and Carlile her first. Carlile took to Instagram on Friday, April 18 to celebrate the feat with a cheeky post marking the occasion. The singer-songwriter posted a photo of herself on her boat called Captain Fantastic holding up the No. 1 award.

    Law & Order: Organized Crime returned with its Season 5 debut episode on Thursday, April 17 and star Mariska Hargitay celebrated the occasion with a post on Instagram with the show’s lead Christopher Meloni. Hargitay, a crossover star from sister show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has appeared in Seasons 1, 3 and now 5 of Organized Crime as Captain Olivia Benson, while Meloni portrays Detective Elliot Stabler, a character originally featured on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
