Subaru changes the Outback design from the ground up with the seventh generation of the Outback. Instead of being a Legacy wagon on steroids, the 2026 Outback gets a proper SUV design with a rugged appearance that barely reminds us of the previous generations. Kia launched the EV4 in the US at the New York Auto Show. The US-spec features a NACS charge port and will rival the Tesla Model 3, but will not be built in the US. Instead, it will be imported from Korea, which shows a lot of optimism in light of the recent tariff turmoil. During the New York Auto Show, Kia launched its second weirdly-designed EV in the US. The EV4 is slightly longer than the Tesla Model 3, its main competitor.

Subaru unveiled the Trailseeker midsize SUV, a longer and taller variant of the Soltera. While Subaru provided it with more powerful electric motors (375 horsepower), the battery pack remained identical (74 kWh), which means range suffers, with only 260 miles available with a full charge. On the plus side, this is Subaru's first model fitted with Tesla's NACS charge port.
