24 April 2025Washington and Moscow have agreed on terms for ending the war in Ukraine, according to Donald Trump: "I think we have a deal with Russia," the US president said on Wednesday, adding that so far convincing Zelensky had been "harder". Trump had previously accused the Ukrainian leader of prolonging the war unnecessarily with his refusal to give up Crimea. For his part, Zelensky has once again rejected Trump's proposal.
