History has been made before the sun even broke on day two of the Gold Coast Marathon. In its 44 year history, 2024 makes for the first time the event has moved its start line to accomodate for an extra 4,000 participants.

Police are searching for a woman who has gone missing, with reports she was last seen on the Gold Coast’s Glitter Strip. Gold Coast police calling for help from the public after 37-year-old Ashmore woman Danielle Oliver-Zammit was reported missing on Thursday. Ms Oliver-Zammit was last seen in Surfers Paradise around 1.30pm on Thursday. Her family have said the disappearance was out of character. She is described as Caucasian, of slim build, 170cm tall with long blonde hair.
