1 INTRODUCTION Cardiac hypertrophy is an adaptive response to stressors such as high cardiac workload, leading to increased cardiomyocyte size, and heart wall thickness (Samak et al., 2016). Prolonged cardiac hypertrophy causes aberrant cardiac function, which increases the incidence of heart failure (Cunningham et al., 2019).
