Fort Myers Beach was a place everyone wanted to be. An oceanside oasis for those who lived there. It was a slice of paradise for tourists from The Villages and around the globe who wanted sand in their toes, a cool drink at sunset and beach vibes to carve lasting memories. We filled the outdoor restaurants at Times Square, built sandcastles in the shade of the pier and came away with photos of dolphins, parasails or pirates.
