President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission the completed sections, Phase 1, Section 1 (30 km of 750 km) of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, on 31st May 2025. David Umahi, minister of works, during a recent inspection, announced the project which is being handled by Hitech Construction Company will be completed by January 2026.

The Federal government, through the ministry of power has announced progress made with the implementation of the mass metering project ongoing at the army formation across the country, stating that the project has generated N769.1 million in revenue between August 2024 and April 2025. The N40 billion project which was flagged off in March 2024, was aimed to address the issues of estimated billings in the barracks.
