If you know me, you know that I am a big fan of old Hollywood, the era of black and white films. It was an era where storytelling was superb and movies didn’t rely on special effects to get their point across. No big summer blockbusters, just great movies. I’ve made no secret that my favorite author is F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby is such a powerful book on so many levels. I even did a voice post here on Substack to review this great novel several months ago. During this writing prompt challenge I do each week I have sometimes written fan fiction. Although I have a long way to go to meet the standards of such a master of this craft, here is my attempt at Jay Gatsby fan fiction.
