Wikelman Gonzalez will be called up by the Chicago White Sox, per Chase Ford of MiLB Central. González has a 3.50 ERA across Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte in 36 innings pitched. He has thrived in hitter-friendly Charlotte with a 2.75 ERA. He has had issues with control, but the results have been there. González was a key piece in the Garrett Crochet trade with the Boston Red Sox, so he can hopefully aide the lackluster bullpen going forward.

If those years pass, Ishbia will then have the option to buy a controlling interest in 2034 and thus, all minority partners of the Sox would have the opportunity to sell to Ishbia, too.

Luis Robert Jr. continues to struggle, so the Chicago White Sox are going to give him a few days off to adjust, as reported by Scott Merkin. If you have watched any White Sox baseball, you may have noticed that Robert has not been himself since early 2024, when he missed two months of games after re-aggravating the same hip flexor injury he sustained in 2021. This is not to say that Robert's injury history is to blame for his 2025 struggles.
