Southwest Flight 3278 was cleared for takeoff and ready to head to Albany International Airport from Orlando International Airport Thursday morning at 9:30 when it's take off was stopped by the air traffic controller due to a potentially dangerous departure. The reason that the flight was stopped was due to the crew on board had mistaken the taxiway for the actual runway. Taxiways are used by planes to get to runways, gates and also hangars. They are not designed for takeoffs or landings.

If you're around the Latham Farms area, you're going to want to keep your eyes open for a black bear that has been seen a couple times. Initially the bear was seen near the Northway by Latham Farms then spotted again later that same day wandering around the back parking lot. It was also spotted near Red Robin which is located near Latham Farms right on Route 9 in Latham. The D.E.C. has been informed as have the Colonie Police and Animal Control.

If you haven't heard yet, there is a Worldwide Microsoft and CrowdStrike outage that is impacting airports, hospitals, airlines, banks and more. According to CrowdStrike, the company that handles "security" for Microsoft did say -"This is not a security incident or cyberattack,"Now, while the problem has been identified and a fix has been deployed, it's going to take some time to get everything back on course. One of the airports that was impacted by this outage is Albany International Airport.
