1 INTRODUCTION L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that plays a crucial role in various biological processes in both animals and humans (Kałużna-Czaplińska et al., 2019; Yao et al., 2011). It serves as a building block for proteins while also serving as a precursor for the synthesis of vital molecules such as serotonin, melatonin, and niacin.
