This has included an online meeting with our new Labour MP, Steve Witherden, and being part of a presence outside the Welsh Labour conference in Llandudno during Sir Keir Starmer’s Saturday morning speech.

Some of their injuries were extensive and required surgical intervention, and they had to spend a period in hospital. They were very fortunate that the emergency services were at hand, and help was on the scene as soon as possible.

    Dafydd Parry Jones © Richard Stanton In early September, a lorry load of our finished cattle headed up to Yorkshire for slaughter. These were 28-month-old heifers, which fattened a bit later than usual. We were disappointed with weight gains over the winter, so we kept them over the summer to gain weight and condition on grass. We were very pleased with the result.

    The summer months have been full of activity. The wet conditions have resulted in good grass growth during the past six weeks, with plenty of small windows of opportunity to get some silage in. Over the school holidays, having extra help on the farm ensured we could get the work done in a timely fashion. This meant we could spend more time away from the farm as a family, creating memories (of which more in a moment). And every evening, we enjoyed watching the Paris Olympics.
