The Star Valley Lady Braves led wire-to-wire at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper to claim the program’s third straight team wrestling championship in the state’s third year of sanctioned girls wrestling. Star Valley won by nearly 100 points with 207.5 overall. Sheridan was second with 115.0. Kemmerer was third with 97.0.Three SVHS girls made the finals with two of them winning championships. Junior Remington Aullman (135) had an exciting battle with Abrianna Liard of Rawlins.

After two days of action in the Wyoming State Wrestling Championships, the Star Valley Lady Braves are poised for their third straight state championship. The ladies have 163.5 team points to lead the 44-team field. Kemmerer and Sheridan are tied for second with 85.0. Cheyenne East is just a half-point back of the runner-up spot. Individually, the Lady Braves have three athletes in the finals and all three of them have been there before.

After Day 1 of the Wyoming State Wrestling Championships the Star Valley Lady Braves are out in front of the team race by 40 points. The Braves in Braids carved out 89 points in the opening rounds as Sheridan sits in second with 49.0. Cheyenne East is third with 43.0 points. Kemmerer is currently fifth with 33.0 team points.

The Star Valley Lady Braves have been the favorites to win the team’s third straight state championship and heading into the final weekend of the season they look the part as they won the 4A West Regional in Evanston with 236.0 team points. The ‘Braves in Braids’ were 95 team points in front of second-place Pinedale who finished with 141.0. Kemmerer was third with 114.5Individually, Star Valley had five wrestlers into the finals.
