This retrospective cohort study was used data of Fukushima Cohort Study which was a prospective survey investigating the characteristics and outcomes (end-stage kidney disease [ESKD], cardiovascular events, and death) of outpatients under the care of specialists in nephrology or diabetology at Fukushima Medical University Hospital.
