The room of United Way of New York City’s 19th annual Power of Women to Make a Difference Awards Luncheon (sponsored by JPMorgan Chase and hosted by Women United) was calm before over 500 impressive New Yorkers were due to arrive. Rows of dark blue tables complete with pink, yellow, and green flowers in the center made it seem like the space was covered with water lilies.
