The future of Mortal Kombat 1 remains up in the air right now following the completion of the Khaos Reigns expansion, but you can get the game and its predecessors for cheap. Warner Bros. is currently running a Mortal Kombat Franchise Sale on Steam offering up to 90% off the modern games and their DLC. Mortal Kombat 1 is obviously the big get this time around with the base game and its Khaos Reigns expansions knocked down 67%.

It's not every day we see fighting games be the focus of different forms of media, especially outside of the realms of comic books and movie adaptations. The manga series Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games (Tai Ari Deshita: Ojоu-sama wa Kakutоu Gēmu Nante Shinai) has now received its first trailer for the upcoming anime series. This new anime adaptation being handled by Kadokawa is set to release sometime in 2025 though no date has been given yet.

Evo Japan 2025 is going down this weekend, which means a lot of fighting game action as well as reveals and updates galore. It seems Sega may be getting in on that action too with the announcement of a new Virtua Fighter Direct coming in a few days. The Virtua Fighter Direct 2025 Spring broadcast is set to take place this Sunday, May 11, at 7 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET though we don't know how long the video will end up being yet.
