This past week, the Green Bay Packers signed former Chiefs’ receiver Mecole Hardman. And of course, for no particular reason, there was much hatred over this on the internet. I still don’t know why. This shouldn’t deter the Packers from drafting a receiver in the NFL Draft or anything. I mean honestly, Hardman isn’t necessarily a lock to make the roster. He’ll provide the Packers the opportunity to have an explosive return man other than Keisean Nixon. And we should be happy about that.

News for the NFL and the Green Bay Packers on the free agency front has come to a screeching halt. That means it’s time to get back to the NFL Draft and mock draft season! Before we carry on, the Packers did sign two players to fill needs using free agency. Green Bay signed cornerback Nate Hobbs and interior offensive lineman Aaron Banks. As mentioned in my last week’s article, Brian Gutekunst uses free agency to fix any holes that were made by misses in the draft.

This week is an important week for the Green Bay Packers as the NFL Combine is set to take place. The NFL Combine is used to assess NFL draft prospects. However, the Combine is also a place in which coaches and general managers talk business. So, be on the look for some news to break either this week or next regarding trade prospects and players who may be released as cap casualties. Of course, the NFL Combine is more than just an opportunity for teams to talk trades with one another.

The Green Bay Packers are in the throes of the NFL offseason. Now, you are probably thinking, why are you talking about the NFL Draft? Free agency is just four weeks away! Well, my reasoning is the same as it always has been as a Packers fan. I want to know who is available-ish during the NFL free agency but I also acknowledge that the Packers haven’t been the most involved in free agency. Of course, I understand that Green Bay has more cap space than normal now.

The Green Bay Packers aren’t rookies when it comes to the playoffs. So of course that means they have some experience in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. And quite honestly, they’ve had more success than they have had heartbreak. That usually happens later in the tournament… But I digress. Later today, the Packers will face the 2nd seed Philadelphia Eagles in the City of Brotherly Love. I’m hoping our Love shines brighter.
