Myles Smith’s side clinched the league title on the final day with victory against Preston North End at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in front of more than 2,000 supporters. Bolton went the entire league campaign without defeat, winning 20 matches and only dropping points on two occasions. The Whites also cinched the Challenge Cup following an emphatic victory against Accrington Stanley – their toughest rivals in the league – at the County Ground in Leyland.

Baptiste had two spells with the Whites, initially making 43 appearances during a two-year spell between 2013 and 2015. The defender returned in the summer of August 2020, linking up with Ian Evatt who he played alongside at Blackpool. He was a regular in the backline as Bolton won promotion back to League One and scored a late equaliser against MK Dons on the opening day of the following campaign.

Lawrence enjoyed quite the season for the Under-18s and B Team, which he capped off with a brace against Luton in the Youth Alliance National Final at the Toughsheet Community Stadium earlier this month. The forward also got minutes under his belt for the senior squad against Peterborough and Stevenage during the final week of the League One campaign, playing half an hour against the latter.
