A large oak tree in a West Yorkshire market town has been felled after weeks of public debate about its future. The tree, in Otley, was cut down as Leeds City Council said it needed to make way for vital repairs on the footway of the main bridge over the River Wharfe. The move, which was first planned before Christmas, divided opinion among residents. There were scuffles on Friday morning as protesters tried to stop the tree being removed.

I've loved editing two videos on Ruth's inspiring fundraising efforts over the past fortnight! So much fantastic footage to fit into 1 minute 30, hopefully I did it justice👇

Had no idea how many people were in the pro-marzipan camp 😬 I don’t think I could be less of a fan

Apparently marzipan is as divisive as Marmite. @Production_DanB has polled his friends and it was around 50/50. Is it a sweet yellow delicacy or a nasty yellow ooze added to cakes by people with no taste buds? I reckon home made is good, the mass produced stuff is vile https://t.co/jOiH9SiB7X
