Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners will soon begin construction on the first phase of The Heritage, a previously delayed project that’ll ultimately include up to 750 new apartments in Old Town Alexandria. The project will comprise three new seven- to eight-story multifamily buildings across about two and a half city blocks, just off South Patrick Street (Route 1) to the east.

A 2000s-era office building in Rockville once eyed for conversion to life science use is headed to the auction block. Included in the auction is a 240,000-square-foot building at 805 King Farm Blvd., a parking garage with 250 spaces and easements on three surface parking lots with 200 spaces, according to an ad from Alex Cooper Inc., which will conduct the April 18 auction.

It was big news in 2019 when the tech giant, a unit of Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL), announced it would move from Reston Town Center to Comstock Holding Cos. Inc.’s 1900 Reston Metro Plaza, just off the Silver Line’s Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.
