    LF Energy is happy to announce today that a new Rust implementation of OpenADR 3.0 is now part of the LF Energy OpenLEADR project. OpenADR 3.0 is the latest version of the OpenADR standard that was created in 2009. According to the OpenADR Alliance, it is “designed to complement older versions of the standard”, such as OpenADR 2.0b, which is widely used within the industry.

    Bidirectional EV charging, or Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), plays an essential role in the decarbonization of the electricity sector. But there are still hurdles to overcome, e.g. lack of standardization and insufficient interoperability. To improve interoperability of bidirectional charging, the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Collaboration Programme (HEV TCP) by the International Energy Agency (IEA) launched Task 53.
