The big job of the afternoon has made its way to the hardware insertion department. A laser cutting machine cut the blanks, and a press brake operator worked his magic to add some louvers, creating the bottom of what’s to become electrical boxes. All that needs to be added to the 100 workpieces are five self-clinching nuts and 10 studs. That sounds a lot simpler than it is. Does the hardware insertion equipment operator know exactly where the nuts and studs are to go?
