That's the wrong question, the iconoclastic, multi-billionaire Connecticut hedge fund founder suggested to interviewers over the last few days. On a Bloomberg podcast and on NBC's Meet the Press, the founder of Westport-based Bridgewater Associates does answer the R-question. "It's likely that we're going to be in a recession," the longtime Greenwich resident told Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua.

    Barbara T. Roessner has retired as executive editor of Hearst Connecticut Media Group, a job she held for six years in a Connecticut journalism career spanning four decades. Roessner’s retirement was announced by Paul Barbetta, president and group publisher, and by Roessner, who will turn 65 in September. It was effective Monday.
