KENNEWICK, Wash. - A year and a half ago, a Kennewick woman and her husband had the vision to help people after an experience at a Stretch Lab in Spokane. Fast forward to today, and that dream has become a reality. The Stretch Lab in Kennewick opened today in grand fashion. Community members braved the rain to hear the Kamiakin band entertain. Also, the Kennedy mayor issued a pro-tem proclamation. It's a place to help stretch clients out to improve their mobility.

RICHLAND, Wash. - The more than month-long lockout of Hanford Guard Union members is officially over. The union voted on and passed the latest proposal. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Hanford Guard Union Local 21 told Apple Valley News that Hanford Mission Integration Solutions had locked them out after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract after the previous one had expired. With a new contract, HGU21 can go back to work.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The mayor of Kennewick is proclaiming that January 2025 will be recognized as National Mentoring Month. This is designed to raise awareness about the importance of mentors to young people and to encourage more individuals to become mentors. The Founder of the Big Bro Joe Foundation, Joe Thornton, will be accepting the proclamation from Kennewick Mayor Gretl Crawford at tonight's city council meeting.

PASCO, Wash. - Christmas is approaching, and some of us have not seen snow yet. The city of Pasco wants to invite you to its annual holiday celebration. Pasco's winter fest is back for the seventh year. It is a week for families to enjoy each other's company and the holiday season. Ron Campton with the city of Pasco says there are plenty of activities for the family this year. There are Christmas movies at the Pasco Fairchild Cinemas and a week-long candy cane scavenger hunt.

RICHLAND, Wash. - Hanford security police officers were locked out after the union disagreed with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions. After two months of negotiations, they couldn't agree on a new contract. HGU Local 21 police officers couldn't report to work, so they went to work on the picket lines. While it's always possible, Chris Hall, president of Hanford Guard Union Local 21, said he wanted it to come to something other than this. "This has never happened before actually," Hall said.
