nationalclubgolfer.com | Max McVittie |Jack Backhouse |Steve Carroll |Dan Murphy
A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members. Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Now on the wrong side of 25, Matt has been playing golf since the age of 13 and was largely inspired to take up the game by countless family members who played golf during his childhood. Matt is a member at Royal Cinque Ports in Deal playing off a 5 handicap, just a pitching wedge away from his hometown of Dover where he went to school and grew up. He has previously been a member at Etchinghill and Walmer and Kingsdown in Kent.

Meldrum House is a charming and historic boutique resort, around a half-hour drive inland from Aberdeen. The golf course, designed by the locally based architect Graeme Webster, features some intriguing green shapes and contours and is a very well-presented parkland layout with several water features and risk-and-reward holes.

Always enjoy a friendly tussle with @mgchiversNCG

US Open week usually means a debate about a long par 3, especially where the 8th hole at Oakmont is concerned Me and @DanMurphyGolf argued over whether they are good thing or a bad thing https://t.co/MA0AZ6X7cq

Had a game @CairndhuGolfC @CairndhuGC today. What a find - perfect if you are catching a ferry into/out of Larne or Belfast. Never a dull moment and the views in all directions reminded me a little of those @Bamburghgolf. Thanks to @TourismNIreland for facilitating https://t.co/kqQSVtqJFc

Not sure what I was expecting @StonehavenGC but whatever it was, this surpassed it https://t.co/R9Ky13vNm6
