A Brainerd institution has officially changed ownership ahead of the upcoming tourism season, according to a certificate of real estate value. Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake property was bought by Leisure Hotels and Resorts for $19.5 million after being owned by the Cragun family for a better part of a century. The certificate of real estate value, released Tuesday by the Department of Revenue, showed the price tag for the resort was $19.5 million.

A townhome and villa development in Plymouth received a bevy of approvals at a City Council meeting Tuesday, bringing it one step closer toward construction. Ron Clark Construction has proposed building 19 “rambler style” (sometimes referred to as ranch style) single-family villas and 19 townhomes in the northwest Twin Cities suburb. The project received approval from the City Council for rezoning, a conditional use permit, a preliminary plat and a handful of variances Tuesday.
