Three years ago, I got coffee with Mark Hoppus and he asked if I’d help him write his memoir. Actually, he opened a blank notebook on the table, put his pen to the first line, and said, “Okay, Dan, how do I write a book?” For three years I guided him up the mountain like a word sherpa, making sure he never stumbled. And at a certain point he found his footing and took off running. It was truly a joy and an honor to be along for the journey. Today, at long last, FAHRENHEIT-182 is out in the world.
