After an embarrassing effort during Saturday’s Game 3 loss at home, the Miami Heat will attempt to avoid a series sweep tonight against the East’s top seed Cleveland Cavaliers. Miami showed some fight in the first half of this series back in Cleveland, especially in Game 2, just to come out and put up a goose egg in front of their home crowd. The Heat have not won a home playoff game since Game 3 of the 2023 Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics.

The Miami Heat battled in Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. A 19-point Cavs lead evaporated into a 2-point game late in the fourth quarter, but Miami’s run wasn’t enough to hold off the East’s top seed. Donovan Mitchell hit a barrage of difficult clutch buckets down the stretch. After a pedestrian 10 points at halftime for the superstar, he closed the second half with 20 points. As true stars usually do, Mitchell stepped up when his team needed him the most.
