Mets ace pitcher Kodai Senga suffered a hamstring injury during his start today vs. the Nationals. Senga jumped to catch a throw from teammate Pete Alonso and crumbled to the ground. Senga was placed on the injured list, and he will miss at least ten days. The Mets have been hitting on every cylinder this season, building on their lead in the N.L. East. But their latest win Thursday afternoon came at a cost.

Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts teamed up to launch the Eagles to new heights. Not coincidentally, sales of their merchandise have also taken flight. The NFLPA released its Top 50 Player Sales List, ranking the biggest-selling players from March of 2024 through February of this year. These rankings cover not just jersey sales, but all officially licensed products, from figurines to bobbleheads and more. Barkley topped the list of all NFL players, while Hurts ranked third.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Well, not everything. Jalen Hurts has been among the best quarterbacks in the game in his brief career, particularly over the past three seasons. This is not an arguable point. Unless, of course, you are NBC NFL analyst Chris Simms. All Hurts has done since the start of the 2022 season is win 43 games, including postseason, take his team to two Super Bowls, and win one of them.
