Sophie Okonedo goes up against the likes of Ariana Grande and Isabela Merced in the Best Supporting Actress category. The other month, Amazon cancelled The Wheel of Time, its adaptation of Robert Jordan's epic fantasy series, and we were bereft. The show was getting better and better with each passing season and there was still plenty of story left. It hurt to see it cut down in its prime. At least the show could get a little love during awards season.

Dune is making moves on the big screen, the small screen and in gaming. Well, it took several decades but the Dunefranchise is finally turning into the kind of multimedia mega-franchise it always had the potential to become. The latest Dune thing to sweep the world is Dune: Awakening, a new video game from Funcom that came out earlier this month.

"I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that."A couple months ago, the U.K. Supreme Court issued a ruling stating, essentially, that transgender women are not legally considered women and transgender men are not legally considered men. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who has crusaded against the rights of trans people for years, celebrated on X with a picture of herself smoking and drinking. The Last of Us season 2 is as good as anyone could hope: it's both heart-breaking and heart-warming, as action-packed as it is quiet and graceful, impeccably made and deeply felt. The only problem is we had to wait 2 years for 7 episodes and are likely facing a similar wait soon https://t.co/zx8QvNmwi4

I've seen all 8 episodes and I'm calling it now: people will love The Penguin. It's dense, dark, funny, extremely well-acted, subtle enough to draw comparisons to The Sopranos but wild enough to belong in the Batman universe. It rushes in places, but overall a rock-solid show. https://t.co/NlQCPru5xR
