AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic has markedly influenced people’s lifestyle and sexual behaviors, including masturbation patterns. This study delved into how masturbation frequency could impact anxiety levels, sleep quality, and somatic symptoms post-masturbation among Chinese adults during this period. From December 2022 to January 2023, we conducted a cross-sectional survey, gathering data via WenJuanXing, a leading online survey platform in China.

To the Editor,NHS England recently announced, as reported in the BMJ, the launch of a new four-year direct entry undergraduate medical degree set for 2026 (1). This degree will be separate from the existing graduate entry program, although both programs have the same duration of education. This development raises several concerns.

To the Editor,I was intrigued by the recent study published in BMJ, titled "25-year trends in cancer incidence and mortality among adults aged 35-69 years in the UK, 1993-2018" by Shelton et al. This study emphasized that, despite breast cancer's relatively modest increase in incidence rates compared to other cancers over the study period, breast cancer still maintains significantly higher incidence rates than any other type of cancer [1].
