    A Texas real estate firm is planning to potentially develop a large data center park outside Dallas. First reported by D Magazine and Dallas Morning News, Cawley Partners has acquired 5,200 acres south of Dallas. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. The acquired South Creek Ranch in the City of Ferris is set to see a mix of uses, including data centers, logistics, manufacturing, and residential.

    European satellite operator Eutelsat is set to raise more than $1.5 billion to fuel its Low Earth Orbit (LEO) ambitions, led by the French government. The company this week announced a €1.35 billion ($1.55bn) contemplated capital raise, anchored by key shareholders, to “secure the execution of [its] long-term strategic vision.”“This capital increase would represent a pivotal step in Eutelsat’s strategic and financing roadmap, enabling the execution of its strategic vision,” Eutelsat said.

    A 150MW data center has been proposed in the Canadian city of Moose Jaw. As reportedly by MooseJawToday, Carpere Canada purchased the former Valley View Centre site in 2020 under the name Carpere Valley Development Corporation, this week unveiled new plans to turn the campus into an “AI wellness town” powered by an on-site data center. The 150-acre Carpere Valley project would feature a 150MW AI data center. The waste heat of the facility will be used to warm a nearby greenhouse.

    US data center firm DataBank has filed to develop two more buildings at its upcoming campus in Dallas, Texas. The US colo firm has filed two applications with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, for DFW11 and DFW12, at its campus in Red Oak. Located along Stainback Road in Ellis County, the projects will see the construction of two two-story data centers, each totaling 425,170 sq ft (39,500 sqm). The company aims to invest $325 million in each facility.

    A data center campus could be coming to North Dakota. First reported by the Bismarck Tribune, Aurum Capital Ventures, Inc. this week told the Burleigh County Commission it is considering buying land within Bismarck city limits for a new data center. The company is reportedly looking at 300 acres of county-owned land in east Bismarck at the same listed address as the Buckstop Junction historical village.
